VODAFONE SLASHED ITS DATA RATES
NEW DELHI: On Monday Vodafone India slashed effective data rates of its big 4G, 3G internet packs for pre-paid customers. Now the company is offering upto 67% more benefits for the same price. The company is now following the tracking a similar move by rivals Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular and Reliance Jio, the internet facility provided in this month.The Vodafone which is country’s second largest telecom said that, the additional value will enable customers to enjoy their mobile internet at lowest price and can experience further by staying online longer and accessing more content. According to the statement given by Vodafone, they said that the move will make the Internet more affordable for customers who use mobile internet in a limited way and it also encourage users to come online first time.
The Vodafone Company said that, “We are democratizing data by making it more affordable and accessible and it will work like a key to driving usage and encouraging first time users to come online. And the company is more confident that this move of offering up to 67% additional data benefit. Sandeep Kataria, Director-Commercial, Vodafone India said in a statement that, on select pre-paid packs, will facilitate in faster adoption of data and its better usage,”According to the Industry analysts said that the company is not reducing rates directly, but company is offering more bang for the buck. It is a strategy which will help Vodafone to protect their crucial average revenue per user (ARPU) but is also make their offers more attractive for users so the user attract towards it.
Latest Data Plans Provided by Vodafone:
As we compare with old plan the 3GB 3G/4G monthly plan was available at around Rs 650 will now offer 5 GB data, an increase of 67% data quota. Same as above the Rs 449 3G/4G pack now offers 50% more data by increasing now the data benefit to 3 GB from 2 GB. The Rs 999 3G/4G pack will offering 54% more benefits according to the plan you will get 10 GB data, .
On paper recharge of Rs39 2G now offers 225MB data instead of 160 MB with 5-day validity which is an increase of 41%, while the Rs 12 3G/4G paper recharge now offers 50 MB data vs 30MB with 1-day validity which is an increase of 67%. The plan may vary circle to circle.
