One of the Indian mobile manufacturing company, Intex, has launched its 4G feature phone as a part of Navratan Series. Intex has launched a total of 9 smart phones including a 4G VoLTE know as “Turbo+4G“. This smartphone is expected to be released till Diwali this year. The starting price of this Navratan Series is RS 599. All this revolution in the Telecom market can be seen after Reliance Jio announced its Jio phone launch on 21st July. Idea [a telecom network company] has also announced to launch its bundled offer with 4G enabled smart phone at a price range of RS 2500. Another telecom company, Airtel has already announced to launch its own VoLTE network by the starting of next year.
Intex Turbo+4G Details
Intex Turbo+4G is launched at a price of RS 1699. It will run on KaiOS operating system. This is a forked version of Firefox operating system. If reports are to be believed then Jio phone will also use this operating system. Intex has used Firefox OS previously also many times. Infact, Intex was the first company to use Firefox operating system in India.
Intex Turbo+4G will feature a 2.4 inches QVGA display. It will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 205 chipset which will be supported by a 512 MB RAM and 4 GB internal storage. The storage is expandable to 32 GB with help of a memory card. It will have a battery of 3000 Mah. It will have a 5MP camera at back while the front will have a 1.2MP camera. By looking at the specification one can see that it is almost similar to Jio phone. But we would like to share that it is better than Jiophone. Read below to know more.
Advantage over Jiophone
Jiophone is marketed as “Freephone” but practically one needs to pay RS 1500 [refundable security amount] to get this phone. The security amount will be refunded after 3 years and it has terms and condition that the Jio user needs to use the Jio phone continuously for 3 years and phone should not be damaged. For a 3 Year long time, it is practically not possible to follow the two conditions. Intex Turbo+4G is priced at RS 1699 which is quite pocket-friendly and plus the user can use any network of their own choice which is the biggest advantage if the user chooses this smartphone. Turbo+4G is compatible with all 4G network sims and user can switch to any other network at any time.
The other biggest advantage of Turbo+4g is that it will support Whatsapp. Jio phone doesn’t support WhatsApp as it will already have its inbuilt chat app “JioChat”. By looking at the popularity of WhatsApp, it is a major concern for a user if they cannot use WhatsApp on Jiophone.
So we definitely have an option for Jiophone in the market. all the users who do not want to switch to Jio network can wait for the official launch of Intext Turbo+4G phone.
