Airtel Acquires Tikona Digital Official News State List
Good News for all airtel 4g users, Bharti Airtel is all set to acquire Tikona Digital across the 5 Major telecom Circles of India named as UP East, Gujarat, UP West and Himachal Pradesh also the 4G network of Tikona Digital in Rajasthan telecom Circle is acquired by Airtel sister Company Bhartiya Hexacom Ltd. It should be noted that it is second biggest merger in indian telecom market after Vodafone & Idea merger. It is reported that the Tikona Digital 4G and Airtel Merger deal is done for 244 Million $ i.e. 1600 crores INR and the official News regarding the Tikona Acquisition by Bharti Airtel is given below from 24 March 2017 News Paper . This acquisition will help Airtel 4g to boost the internet speed. Since the launch of Reliance JIO in the indian telecom market, the telecom sector seen a complete revolution in terms of Voice calls, SMS, 4G internet and net speed.
After jio offered unlimited free 4g internet and unlimited voice calls, The indian mobile users saw something which they never dreamt of, Reliance Jio Offered Unlimited free of cost 4g internet, voice call, SMS and free app subscription under welcome offer till 31st December 2016 and almost similar benefits continued from 01st Jan 2017 to 31st march 2017 under JIO Happy New Year Offer.
After the merger of Tikona Digital in Airtel, the capacity of Airtel 4G will boosted tremendously in terms of handling data speed demand from its users thereby enhancing the user experience of airtel 4g network. This move of airtel is seen as the latest effort in proving itself the highest 4g speed internet provider in the data war going on in indian telecom sector. Bharti Airtel point of view towards this merger shall be seen as, Tikona currently has 20MHz spectrum in the 2300 MHz band in Gujarat, UP (East), UP (West), Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh circles. Airtel plans to roll out high-speed 4G services on the newly acquired spectrum in the five circles immediately after the deal is done. Also it would be very interesting to see that after the 31st March 2017 i.e. from April-17, whether the users would go with Jio Prime Membership or with self claimed highest 4g speed providing network Airtel.
